Yesterday I went by to Dr Keith's clinic to have my regular whitening jab. Well at a spur of the moment, I decided to do a nose filler. No...... I didn't plan to do, not today anyway, wasn't even thinking. But when I was there, was talking to Dr Keith, he's so friendly, so I usually stay talking longer than "supposed" I guess.
One thing lead to another, I was complaining about my looks etc etc. Then I thought - hell why not..... so before I know it, I was being prep for the procedure....haha.... oh boy...... what have I done. But I've known Dr Keith for more than a year now- I trust him:)
The procedure was faster than I expected. Not painful, just some slight discomfort - which was weird....... but GREAT ! I look at the result, & I'm seriously very very surprise.... my nose looks higher.... & somehow that makes the rest of the features better !
I'm very please I did it.
Today at the office all the girls were telling me I look great, they were wondering what I did....so funny! I didn't tell them, oh....ok I told my closest buddy & she was going like 'what the hell' why didn't I bring her etc etc.........lol...... major comical!
Well next week I'll have to company her to see Dr Keith.
She's doing the nose filler !
Aesthetic procedures I have done - things like the whitening Vit C jab and nose filler with Dr Keith Ong. The blog has morph into my diary of sorts ...haha...

My experience with Dr Keith Ong's whitening jab at Parsons Medical
Today I took a day off, plan to run some errands, but mostly to update my poor neglected blog….
Since I did the whitening jab one year ago, I'm 'supposed' to put it in my blog !Yes, time flies..... I know there are many blogs out there about this very popular Vitamin C Whitening Jab , but this is my take, my unique experience....so...
I’ve decided to do the whitening jab last year before my job interview. A friend did it with good results, so I was dying to try.
My experience- Sep 2012
The first time I saw Dr Keith Ong (the dr who’s famous for the whitening jab) I was surprise, I had expected someone older. Ok.... I've heard lots about him ... so I was expecting nice, friendly & he is both & more ....!!!!! I asked him the usual questions I suppose, & he took time to explain to me.
AS for the whitening jab, it was painless-interesting! I remember the first time I look in the mirror right after the jab....oh.... I do look different. My face has turned slightly fairer & is like glowing softly. Hmmm.. don't know how to describe, I liked what I saw- but do I really need all of the 6 jabs???. That's the package.
Dr Keith explained, for some people, like- ME , the result can be very good. But he also highlighted to me that, the effect will spread out later, thus I still need more jabs. Well before that happens, my mum saw me & she was totally amused! She kept starring at me& said -soon I'll be like a Japanese Girl!! haha.... how I wish!!!!
That was one year ago, after I finish the package, I bought another. My new job has been quite demanding, so sometimes I ‘forget ‘ to go for my monthly jab. It all changes now, Dr Keith has moved to Orchard, ! It’s super convenient now. So I go back to my once a month, regime. But this Dec I’ll be doing 1 jab per week. Why? Isn't that obvious? I need to look my best for my company dinner, one of my friends is getting married, then there’s all those Christmas Parties ….. In all, I do recommend this whitening jab. It's great for the skin & even your health!

Vitamin C Benefits For Skin
1. Sun
Protection: Vitamin C protects our skin from free radicals
which we develop due to excess exposure to the sun, environmental pollution and
regular smoking. The antioxidants in Vitamin C protect the skin from
ultraviolet radiation and the effect of sunlight exposure. Vitamin C
helps to reduce sun burn caused by exposure to ultra violet radiation to a
great extent. It not only reduces sunburn but also prevents the consequences of
long term sun exposure, which can lead to skin cancer.
2.
Production of Collagen: It is a required component for the production of hydroxyproline and
hydroxylysine, both of which are needed to bind the molecules that produce
collagen. This in turn gives the skin firmness and tones the skin. Collagen
deficiency makes the skin dull and lifeless. Collagen rejuvenates the
skin from the roots and reduces wrinkles and symptoms of ageing.
3. Heals
Wounds: The body
uses Vitamin C to replace damage tissue which helps to heal the wound in a
faster pace. Wounds that heal slowly indicate vitamin C deficiency.
Vitamin C improves skin elasticity and helps to create scar tissue and
ligaments for quick recovery.
4.
Protects against skin discolouration: Vitamin C protects DNA from photochemical
reactions that can lead to tumour, skin discolouration and several kinds of
skin cancer. They also inhabit the production of Pyrimidine dimers which are
the primary cause of melanomas in human. It lightens
dark discoloration like skin freckles and age spots and helps to get
younger and smoother skin.
5.
Improves skin texture: Collagen also provides structure for
blood vessels so the body needs Vitamin C for a healthy vascular system. The
tiny blood vessels under the skin carry oxygen and nutrients that keep the skin
healthy. Without enough nutrients, the skin will become rough and dry. Creams
containing Vitamin C improves the appearance and texture of the skin. It
increases elastin formation which thickens, protect and heal skin cells. The
thickening effect helps to retain moisture, increases skin circulation and
plumps up the skin surface.

Health Benefits for Vit C

2. Common cold: Vitamin C reduces the severity of cold symptoms and acts as an effective antihistamine that lessens the unpleasant effects of common cold, including inflammation, runny nose and aches. Vitamin C also controls the allergy that causes cold. It reduces histamine level and often shortens the duration of cold.
3. Antioxidant: Vitamin C is a powerful and effective antioxidant that protects our body from free radicals that cause oxidative stress, or ”cellular rust” that can lead to a host of severe medical conditions such as atherosclerosis that can cause both heart disease and stroke.
4. Hypertension: Vitamin C has shown to lower blood pressure and lessens the probability of hypertension, as well as serious health problems that may accompany with high blood pressure.
5. For weight loss: Vitamin C fruits and juices are proven to help people lose fat and maintain healthy weight. Popular dieticians and nutritionists always include Vitamin C fruits and vegetables in diet charts because there is scientific evidence that shows that eating Vitamin C rich foods on a regular basis helps to lose weight significantly. Doctors have found that eating vitamin C fruits lowers insulin, thus instead of storing sugar and converting them to fats, it uses it as a fuel that leads to weight loss.
6. Cancer: Vitamin C’s antioxidant properties protect cells from DNA damage and mutation and protects from cancer in the long run. It supports the body immune system and prevents certain cancer forming compounds from forming in the body. It reduces the risk of development of all types of cancer including lung, mouth, throat, colon, stomach and oesophagus. Vitamin C also helps to regenerate Vitamin E which is another powerful antioxidant. Vitamin C does not directly attack cancer that has already occurred but keeps the immune system nourished and enables to battle against cancer.
7. Heart disease: Vitamin C prevents heart disease by preventing free radicals from damaging the artery walls which could lead to plaque formation. This nutrient also keeps the cholesterol from oxidising which can cause heart stroke. High blood pressure problem can also be resolved with this wonder nutrient. All these factor combine to make Vitamin C an inexpensive and easy way to lower the risk of heart disease and strokes.
8. Asthma: People with low level of Vitamin C have a high chance of developing asthma. Greater intake of Vitamin C will lessen the body’s production of histamine which contributes to inflammation.
